About the Founder

Kelly Roberge is an educator, musician, and creator of a climate education puppet podcast that helps children explore climate change through humor, storytelling, and music. He spent 11 years as an elementary music teacher in the public school system and has taught private saxophone lessons for over 15 years, helping young musicians build confidence, creativity, and curiosity.

Kelly is also the founder of the online ensemble school All Ages All Stages Band, a program dedicated to giving musicians of different ages and experience levels the opportunity to play music together completely online. The school was created to make ensemble music accessible to anyone, regardless of location, schedule, or experience level.

A professional saxophonist for more than 30 years, Kelly has performed in a wide range of creative projects including a theatrical jazz quartet, an ’80s pop saxophone duo, and a solo sketch comedy quartet act that blends music, comedy, and storytelling. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Oberlin Conservatory and a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory.

Kelly’s fascination with the natural world began early—his love of meteorology started at age five after experiencing Hurricane Gloria. Since then, climate science and humanity’s impact on the planet have remained a lifelong interest. His curiosity has even made its way into his music, including a song inspired by the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and the ocean activist Captain Charles Moore, who first brought global attention to it.

In addition to performing and teaching, Kelly enjoys voice acting, video editing, aviation and producing electronic music, combining these creative interests to build engaging educational experiences for young audiences. He believes that humor, memorable songs, and great storytelling can make complex scientific ideas accessible, sparking curiosity and meaningful conversations about our changing planet.
